judgment,5 and (3) the phrase may suggest that if three sins tried the Lord’s patience, then four was more than He would tolerate.6 There comes a point where enough is enough, even with God. Given the nature of the sins mentioned in these pronouncements one might wonder why God allowed these nations to get away with what they had been doing for so long. When I wonder why God seems so slow to take action against those I believe deserve God’s judgment I am reminded of how glad I am that God is patient
